He went from Phoenix, Arizona, all the way to Tacoma, Philadelphia, Atlanta, L.A… but he still couldn’t avoid the puck last night in Brooklyn.
Linesman Steve Miller found himself in the wrong place at the wrong time twice last night, getting hit by pucks in two separate incidents.
The first was a clearing attempt from Isles defenseman Brian Strait that caught Miller up high.
Later in the game, Miller took a shot off the leg.
He toughed it out, staying on the ice the whole time. The veteran linesman, working career game 1,024, never missed a shift.
Of course, Miller can’t hit the headlines without comparisons to his musical equivalent. Cue the jokes:
Linesman Steve Miller just got hit in the head with the puck. He's OK. (Also, he's a joker, he's a smoker, he's a midnight toker).

@StapeNewsday did the sound system play "Rock n me"? You know, since he was hit and his name is Steve Miller.
