The Ontario Hockey League has released the OHL officiating roster for the 2024-25 season.
This year’s crew is made up of 110 officials including 42 referees and 68 linespersons.
New to the Crew
Referee James Kraft joins the OHL for 2024-25 along with 23 new linespersons: Kyle Bradley, Devon Driscoll, Joseph Erickson, Hunter Gaspar, Dan Kovachik, William Lamoureux, Andrew Langhorn, Mathieu Lecavalier, Pierre-Luc Lurette, Devon Manson, Garrett Merrill, Philip Nadeau, David-Daniel Pendleton, Michael Quesnele, Derek Risebrough, Owen Robertson, Brandon Shaw, Griffin St. Onge, Eric Taylor, Hayden Verbeek, Mac Whalen, Blake Wisniewski, and Meckenzie Wright
Change in Assignment
Four officials are picking up the armbands, moving from linesperson to referee: Jarrett Burton, Alex Joubert, Matt Mannella, Kurtis Pare
Not Returning
Referees Chris Chapman, Brent Coulombe, and Mike Marley are not on the 2024-25 roster; neither is Alex Lepkowski, who was recently hired by the NHL.
On the lines, Ryan Cadwell, Quinn Hanna, Jared Hiebert, Michael Johnstone, Josh Jolley, J.F. Menard, Troy Miller, Riley Page Kyle Rodgers, and Chris Weier will not be back.
Upcoming Milestones
Sean Reid, the OHL’s longest-tenured official, is entering his 25th season. It’s 15 seasons for refs Mike Cairns and Dave Lewis, while referee Aaron Neely and linesman Joshua Houslander are going into their 10th seasons in the league.
