Sutherland and Hanson were paired up in the second round, taking the ice for FLA/TOR Game 1. Sutherland worked Round 1 alongside referee Kendrick Nicholson, handling WPG/VGK G1, SEA/COL G2, NJD/NYR G3, NYI/CAR G5, and DAL/MIN G6. Hanson, paired with ref Eric Furlatt, officiated LAK/EDM G1, TBL/TOR G2, VGK/WPG G3, COL/SEA G4, and BOS/FLA G6.
During the opening round, Hanson/Furlatt were near the top of penalty calls, while Sutherland/Nicholson ranked near the bottom.
Murchison and Alphonso joined forces in the Conference Semifinals. Murch worked the opening round with Libor Suchanek, while Alphonso was partnered up with Bevan Mills – who also moved on to the Conference Semifinals, where he’s skating alongside linesman David Brisebois.
