Referees Jean Hebert and Garrett Rank are back together, having joined forces in Round 2 to work DAL/WPG Game 1 (DAL W 3-2), VGK/EDM Game 3 (EDM W 5-4), WSH/CAR Game 4, and TOR/FLA Game 6.  Hebert also officiated TOR/FLA Game 7 with Chris Rooney, only to have Garrett Rank take the ice as the standby ref following Rooney’s injury

Rank also saw action earlier this round – again, coming in off the bench – after an injury to ref Kelly Sutherland at FLA/CAR Game 1.

Hebert worked the opening round with Peter MacDougall, officiating NJD/CAR Game 2, TOR/OTT Game 4, MTL/WSH Game 5, and WPG/STL Game 6.

Rank skated with Brian Pochmara at OTT/TOR Game 1, VGK/MIN Game 3, DAL/COL Game 4 (DAL L 4-0), and FLA/TBL Game 5.

Linespersons Devin Berg and Bevan Mills have worked together throughout the playoffs, including DAL/WPG Games 1 and 2, and EDM/VGK Game 5.  An injury to Shandor Alphonso shook up the rotation a bit in the second round, causing Berg and Mills to each work a game with Alphonso’s former partner Matt MacPherson. Berg also skated with Jonny Murray at FLA/TOR Game 7.

Standby Officials: Dan O’Rourke (#9), Jonny Murray (#95)
Series Supervisor: Don VanMassenhoven

Stats have been updated through two rounds of the Stanley Cup Playoffs.  Data in blue shows current playoff stats and ranks.

Games: RS (Regular Season) / PO (Playoffs)

Stats/Numbers: ’24-25 avg. (’24-25 rank) | ’25 Playoffs  (’25 Playoff rank)

Number in orange/parentheses indicated referee’s rank among active officials.

* Penalty Differential represents the absolute value of the variance of penalty calls by team per game. If Team A takes two more penalties (or two fewer) than Team B, this is a 2.  Lower numbers indicate less variance between total penalties in a game – that is, a closer number of calls for both teams.
