Referees Chris Rooney and Graham Skilliter were paired up starting in Round 2, having worked Game 1 of Maple Leafs vs. Panthers and Game 2 of Capitals vs. Hurricanes. 

Rooney previously skated with Jon McIsaac at STL/WPG Game 2 (WPG W 2-1), COL/DAL Game 3 (DAL W 2-1), FLA/TBL Game 4, and EDM/LAK Game 6.

Skilliter was paired with Francis Charron for STL/WPG Game 1 (WPG W 5-3), COL/DAL Game 2 (DAL W 4-3), MTL/WSH Game 3, NJD/CAR Game 4), and OTT/TOR Game 6.

Rooney and Skilliter worked just two regular season games together this past season – Bruins/Kraken (12/12/24) and Capitals/Sharks (3/15/25).

Both teams are undefeated (each 2-0) this postseason under either of tonight’s refs.

Referees Gord Dwyer and Francis Charron are paired up for the second time in the playoffs; this duo handled Game 2 of Vegas Golden Knights vs. Edmonton Oilers. 

Dwyer worked the opening round with Pierre Lambert, taking the ice at OTT/TOR Game 2 (TOR W 3-2), FLA/TBL Game 2 (FLA W 2-0), NJD/CAR Game 5, and VGK/MIN Game 6.  He was paired with Jean Hebert for STL/WPG Game 7.
