Refs Wes McCauley and TJ Luxmore are paired up for the first time this postseason.

McCauley was paired up with Furman South in Round 1, working MIN/VGK Game 1, EDM/LAK Game 2, and TBL/FLA Game 3. He joined forces with Dan O’Rourke for COL/DAL Game 7. 

Luxmore skated alongside ref Eric Furlatt in the opening round, handling NJD/CAR Game 1 (CAR W 4-1), FLA/TBL Game 1, LAK/EDM Game 4, MIN/VGK Game 5, and DAL/COL Game 6.  Furlatt also advanced, but has a new partner this round.

This is referee TJ Luxmore’s first time working the second round of the Stanley Cup Playoffs.

Referees  Eric Furlatt and Kelly Sutherland are skating together for the first time in the 2025 Stanley Cup Playoffs. 

Furlatt was partnered up with ref TJ Luxmore in Round 1; the duo officiated NJD/CAR Game 1, FLA/TBL Game 1, LAK/EDM Game 4 (EDM W 4-3), MIN/VGK Game 5 (VGK W 3-2 OT), and DAL/COL Game 6. 

Sutherland worked alongside ref Jake Brenk at COL/DAL Game 1, MTL/WSH Game 2, CAR/NJD Game 3, and STL/WPG Game 5.

The Edmonton Oilers were winless (0-5-0) this regular season when either of tonight’s refs were on the ice. Both teams are 1-0 in the playoffs under Furlatt.
