Washington Capitals forward Tom Wilson and Josh Anderson of the Montreal Canadiens have each been fined $5,000 for unsportsmanlike conduct after a post-period brawl that spilled into the bench.
Wilson and Anderson each received 12 minutes in penalties on the play; with each player picking up a minor for roughing along with a ten-minute misconduct.
While the money goes to the goes to the Players’ Emergency Fund, we’d like to see a portion of that donated to the officials – notable, linesman Kyle Flemington – for his work in trying to keep them separated.
