Who knew that the NHL’s Situation Room would be taking part in the NHL All-Star Weekend?
A potential goal from Boston Bruins’ David Pastrnak during the NHL All-Star Skills Competition’s One-Timer Challenge was waved off after review.
Pastrnak appeared to win the challenge, defeating Colorado Avalanche center Nathan MacKinnon by one point. A second look, though, showed that Pastrnak was credited with 2 points on his fifth shot attempt.
The puck never crossed the line.
After the late two-point deduction, Pastnrak dropped to fourth place in the One-Timer Competition, putting MacKinnon back in the top spot for that event, and leaving MacKinnon and Edmonton Oilers’ Connor McDavid tied overall after the first two events.
