Arizona Coyotes defenseman Michael Kesselring has been fined $2,408.85 for cross-checking Tampa Bay Lightning defenseman Maxwell Crozier.

The incident came at 11:48 of the third period during Thursday’s game in Tampa after a goal from Coyotes’ forward Lawson Crouse. Kesselring cross-checked Crozier, knocking him to the ice before delivering a second cross-check. Both teams came together in front of the Tampa net. Crouse and Crozier dropped the gloves, earning themselves matching fighting majors.

Kesselring picked up a pair of cross-checking minors on the play, along with a 10-minute misconduct.

Kesselring’s fine is the maximum permitted under the CBA based on his salary, without a formal hearing.
