Manitoba Moose forward Evan Polei has been suspended one game for hitting an official with his stick.
Polei was arguing a goaltender interference penalty when he swung his stick in frustration, catching linesman Carl Sasyn in the head.

Polei immediately checked on the official for what appeared to be inadvertent contact. Sasyn was not injured on the play. The Moose forward was ejected from the game, picking up a game misconduct for abuse of officials.

The American Hockey League today announced that Manitoba Moose forward Evan Polei has been suspended for one (1) game as a consequence of his actions in a game at Texas on Nov. 18.
Based on the suspension, it’s apparent the American Hockey League agreed that Polei did not intend to hit the official. The mandatory suspensions for physical abuse of officials all require intent or deliberate application of force.
Referees for the game were Terry Koharski (#10) and Rob Hennessey (#87). Linesmen were Dan Kovachik (#72) and Carl Sasyn (#12).
