Like real estate, hockey is often about location, location, location.  Take, for example, the location of linesman Michel Cormier as the Senators enter the zone.

As Ottawa’s Bobby Ryan brings the puck through the neutral zone, the official makes a perfect pick play.  Watch as Cormier takes out Anaheim defenseman Cam Fowler with a solid – though inadvertent – shoulder-to-shoulder check.

With Fowler out of the play, the Senators had an easy time finishing off the rush with a goal by Mike Hoffman to extend Ottawa’s lead to 5-2.  The Sens finished with a 6-2 victory.

The official score sheet only recorded 73 hits in the game.  Though it didn’t officially count, Cormier’s – number 74 – might have been the best of them all.
