Linesman Mike Cvik is a big guy. Huge. At 6-foot-9, the man they call ‘Honda’ towers over nearly every other player on the ice. He’s probably not a guy you want to mess with.
For whatever reason, Toronto Maple Leafs forward Daniel Winnik felt otherwise. Winnik, seated on the bench next to Joffrey Lupul, squirts his bottle on to the ice – and right on to Cvik.
It’s great watching Lupul try to run damage control to avoid things escalating further. Even better, though, is the look on Cvik’s face. It’s a look of exasperation. The kind you see on the face of a substitute teacher heading up an unruly class.
I’d say that’s pretty accurate.
