Sutherland and Furlatt officiated Game 1 of NYI/TBL, a 2-1 Islanders win.
Ref Kelly Sutherland previously worked NSH/CAR Game 1, PIT/NYI Game 3 (NYI L 4-5), and FLA/TBL Game 4 (TBL W 6-2) with Garrett Rank; he also handled FLA/TBL Game 5 (TBL L 1-4) with Francois St. Laurent. In the second round, he refereed alongside Brian Pochmara for VGK/COL Game 1, BOS/NYI Game 3 (NYI L 1-2 OT), CAR/TBL Game 4 (TBL W 6-4), and VGK/COL Game 5.
