Vancouver Canucks forward Antoine Roussel has been fined $5,000 for roughing Edmonton Oilers forward Jesse Puljujarvi.
The incident took place with 4:13 remaining in the second period of Tuesday night’s game in Vancouver.
Roussel was given a minor penalty for roughing on the play, in which he dropped his right glove and landed multiple punches, bloodying Puljujarvi’s face.
The fine to Roussel is the maximum allowable under the Collective Bargaining Agreement.
The Canucks winger has been fined twice before: $5,000 for slashing Nashville’s Yanick Weber (2/10/20), and $5,000 for biting San Jose’s Marc-Edouard Vlasic (11/23/18)
