Referees Dan O’Halloran and Kevin Pollock – the officials from Game 2 – are back for Game 4.

O’Halloran and Pollock have been paired up since the second round of the playoffs. In the Conference Finals, they officiated Predators/Ducks Games 2 and 6 and Penguins/Senators Game 4. Dan O’Halloran, with referee Wes McCauley, also worked Game 7 between the Penguins and Senators.

In Round 2, the duo worked PIT/WSH Game 1, NYR/OTT Game 2, ANA/EDM Game 4, STL/NSH Game 6, and PIT/WSH Game 7.

O’Halloran was paired with Ian Walsh in the opening round, refereeing NYR/MTL Game 1, CBJ/PIT Game 2, WSH/TOR Game 3, SJS/EDM Game 5, and OTT/BOS Game 6.  Pollock, with referee Brad Meier, handled STL/MIN Game 2, EDM/SJS Game 3, OTT/BOS Game 4, and WSH/TOR Game 6 in Round 1.

No referee has called fewer penalties in the playoffs than Kevin Pollock, with 2.8 calls per game.

The Penguins are undefeated (6-0) this postseason when Dan O’Halloran is refereeing.
