Refs Wes McCauley and Dan O’Rourke are working together for the fourth time this postseason, having handled NJD/CAR Game 1, TOR/FLA Game 3, and SEA/DAL Game 5.
McCauley started the playoffs alongside Frederick L’Ecuyer for TBL/TOR Game 1, NYR/NJD Game 2, CAR/NYI Game 4, FLA/BOS Game 5, and EDM/LAK Game 6 (EDM W 5-4 Series Win). McCauley also covered NYR/NJD Game 7 with Gord Dwyer.
O’Rourke was previously paired with ref T.J. Luxmore; the duo worked MIN/DAL Game 1, CAR/NYI Game 3, BOS/FLA Game 4, SEA/COL Game 5, and TOR/TBL Game 6.
This is the most experienced ref pairing of the round, with McCauley (195) and O’Rourke (180) trailing only Kelly Sutherland (225) in playoff games worked among active referees.
Linesmen Kiel Murchison and Shandor Alphonso joined forces in the Conference Semifinals, skating at SEA/DAL Game 1, EDM/VGK Game 2, and NJD/CAR Game 5. Murch worked the opening round with Libor Suchanek, while Alphonso was partnered up with Bevan Mills – who also moved on to the Conference Semifinals, where he’s skating alongside linesman David Brisebois.
Standby Officials: Kendrick Nicholson, Ryan Gibbons
