Refs Wes McCauley and Dan O’Rourke are working together for the first time this postseason. McCauley started the playoffs alongside Frederick L’Ecuyer for TBL/TOR Game 1, NYR/NJD Game 2 (NJD L 1-5), CAR/NYI Game 4 (CAR W 5-2), FLA/BOS Game 5, and EDM/LAK Game 6.  McCauley also covered NYR/NJD Game 7 (NJD W 4-0) with Gord Dwyer.

O’Rourke was previously paired with ref T.J. Luxmore; the duo worked MIN/DAL Game 1, CAR/NYI Game 3 (CAR L 1-5), BOS/FLA Game 4, SEA/COL Game 5, and TOR/TBL Game 6. 
 

This is the most experienced ref pairing of the round, with McCauley (122) and O’Rourke (177), trailing only Kelly Sutherland (221) in playoff games worked among active referees.

Similarly, Murray (167) and Cherrey (135) are also ranked second and third amound active linesmen; only Brad Kovachik – who made his playoff debut in 2001 – has more (190).

Dwyer and McIsaac are reunited, having worked the opening round together, officiating NYI/CAR Game 1, FLA/BOS Game 2, DAL/MIN Game 3, and LAK/EDM Game 5 (EDM W 6-3).  Dwyer was also paired with Wes McCauley for Game 7 between the Devils and Rangers. 

Brisebois and Mills are a new pairing on lines. Brisebois worked the opening round with Ryan Gibbons, switching to skate alongside Jonny Murray for Panthers/Bruins Game 7.  Mills suited up with Shandor Alphonso in Round 1, also picking up Rangers/Devils Game 7 with Scott Cherrey.
