Gold Medal Game
Czechia vs. Canada – 6:30 PM EST

Referees: Andreas Harnebring #22 (SWE), Anssi Salonen #21 (FIN)
Linesmen: Brandon Grillo #58 (USA), Tarrington Wyonzek #52 (CAN)
Standby: Michael Tscherrig #17 (SUI), Patrick Laguzov #60 (GER)

Salonen worked USA/Canada in the Semifinals, while Harnebring last officiated AUT/LAT.  The IIHF no longer restricts officials from working games that feature their home country; while both refs are European, linesman Tarrington Wyonzek is Canadian.

In the round-robin, Harnebring worked Austria/Czechia and Canada/Germany, with Salonen on duty for Canada/Sweden; this is Salonen’s first time seeing Czechia this tournament.

Grillo and Wyonzek have been paired up their last two outings: a quarterfinal game between Finland/Sweden and the semifinal between Czechia/Sweden. In the round-robin, Grillo also handled Canada/Sweden.

Congratulations to the officials selected to work the Medal Round of the 2023 World Juniors.
