A TD Garden penalty box official was injured when he was hit by a pane of glass dislodged by rowdy fans celebrating a Bruins goal.
The Carolina Hurricanes medical staff immediately responded to the injured off-ice official. He was removed from the ice on a stretcher.
The official, Joe Foley, was taken to the hospital for precautionary reasons but reportedly appears to be okay, per Matt Porter of the Boston Globe.
“We send out our well-wishes that the gentleman’s fine,” offered Bruins head coach Bruce Cassidy.
