Boston Bruins forward Nick Ritchie has been fined $5000 for elbowing New York Islanders defenseman Scott Mayfield.

The elbow came at 13:57 of the first period of Game 5 of the teams’ second round playoff series. No penalty was called on the play.

Mayfield stayed in the game.

This is the fourth fine issued to Boston this playoff series. David Krejci was fined $5000 for slashing New York’s Mat Barzal in Game 4, while head coach Bruce Cassidy was fined $25,000 for criticizing the officials after Game 5.  Bruins forward Jake DeBrusk also picked up a $5000 fine for cross-checking Mayfield in Game 2.
