Philadelphia Flyers forward Nicolas Aube-Kubel has been fined $4,633.62 for roughing Buffalo Sabres defenseman Rasmus Dahlin.
The high hit came from Aube-Kubel as he entered the Sabres’ zone at 2:02 of third period, with the Flyers trailing 5-1. Dahlin left the ice and did not return to the game.
Here’s the roughing on Aube-Kubel that was fined today. Was given a double minor for “high sticking” although not sure stick is involved at all. The fine is probably appropriate https://t.co/HMAZcGVK8Y pic.twitter.com/LWbgZpeszX

“We were hoping for a suspension for a deliberate hit to the head,” said Sabres coach Ralph Krueger. “It looks like there won’t be one again. That’s something that’s a little bit frustrating.”
Referees Dean Morton and Peter MacDougall assessed a double-minor for high-sticking on the play.
