Minnesota Wild defenseman Greg Pateryn had a rough day. First he got fined. Then he got traded.
Pateryn was fined $5,000 for cross-checking Anaheim Ducks forward Sonny Milano. The incident came at 14:19 of the first period of Monday’s game in Anaheim.

No penalty was called on Pateryn on the play. Jordan Greenway did pick up a roughing call in that battle. but the refs might have convicted the wrong guy.
Pateryn’s fine is the maximum permitted under the CBA.
