The Northern Ontario Hockey Association (NOHA) is taking advantage of this ‘pause’ in the NHL season by getting some time with NHL officials.

Referee T.J. Luxmore, linesman David Brisebois, and NHL Director of Officiating Stephen Walkom will all take part in the NOHA Officiating Development Webinar Series, as will OHL Director of Officiating Conrad Hache.

The series kicks off Tuesday, May 5, with Luxmore, who will be discussing the relationship between coaches and officials, followed by a Q&A session. Here’s the rundown:

  • May 5 – NHL Referee T.J. Luxmore – The Coach and the Official Relationship
  • May 12 – NHL Linesman David Brisebois – The Role of the Linesman: Not as Simple as You Think
  • May 19 – NHL Director of Officiating Stephen Walkom – The Path to Officiating Success and Integrity, Pride, and Image
  • May 26 – OHL Director of Officiating Conrad Hache: TBD

All sessions start at 7:00pm Eastern Time.   Register at noha-hockey.com for individual sessions or for the entire series.

From NOHA:

Individual sessions will be $5.65/session per person or participants can pre-register for all four sessions for $16.95 (prices include HST).

Registration will close at 11:45pm the night before each session and the package deal will be available until Monday, May 4th at 11:45pm.
