Linesman Jesse Marquis was in no mood for TJ Brodie’s less-than-constructive suggestion on his positioning.

The Flames defenseman chided Marquis for getting in the way of a pass during Thursday’s game against the New York Rangers.  The linesman returned fire.

Brodie’s pass hit the linesman and deflected right to New York winger Ryan Strome, leading to a Rangers scoring chance.

“Get the —- out of the way!” yelled Brodie.

“You put it right in my ——- feet!” Marquis blasted back.

With a whole rink out there, Brodie opted to go for the one square foot occupied by the linesman’s skates.

Next time, perhaps he’ll consider his options…   and choose wisely.
