We’ve had 269 NHL games played so far this season. Tonight will be the first with linesman Jonny Murray.
Murray, who wears #95, returns to the ice after sitting out the first month of the season. The veteran official was recovering from offseason hernia surgery.
The native of Beauport, Quebec, is in his 20th season as a National Hockey League official. Murray, 45, has suited up for 1,211 regular season games and 118 playoff games, including three trips to the Stanley Cup Final. He also took the ice for the 2016 NHL All-Star Game in Nashville.
Murray made his debut at Stars vs. Senators on October 7, 2000. He’ll make his return tonight at Senators vs. Hurricanes.
