Sutherland and Kozari refereed Games 1 (BOS W 4-2) and 3 (BOS W 7-2) of the Stanley Cup Final. Their performance in Game 3 prompted Blues coach Craig Berube to question the penalty calls.

Tonight’s pairing also officiated Western Conference Final Game 1 (STL L 3-6) and Game 5 (STL W 5-0), as well as Game 3 of the Eastern Conference Final between the Bruins and Hurricanes (BOS W 2-1).

Sutherland and Kozari were paired up starting in Round 2, where they worked COL/SJS Gm1, STL/DAL Gm3 (STL W 4-3), NYI/CAR Gm4, and BOS/CBJ Gm6 (BOS W 3-0).   Kozari officiated the opening round with Jean Hebert, handling TOR/BOS Gm1 (BOS L 1-4), CAR/WSH Gm2, CGY/COL Gm3, STL/WPG Gm5 (STL W 3-2), and SJS/VGK Gm6.  Sutherland refereed alongside Chris Lee for Round 1, working STL/WPG Gm1 (STL W 2-1), VGK/SJS Gm2, and TBL/CBJ Gm4.  Sutherland also worked with Wes McCauley for TOR/BOS Gm7 (BOS W 5-1) in Round 1 and COL/SJS Gm7 in Round 2.

Kelly Sutherland is refereeing his 6th Stanley Cup Final (2010, 2011, 2015, 2016, 2018), while Steve Kozari is working his 2nd (2014).

Referee Wes McCauley remains sidelined with a hamstring injury suffered in Game 6 of the Western Conference Final. Though he was named as one of the Cup Final referees, McCauley is not expected to officiate this series due to the injury.

Veteran linesmen Racicot and Devorski are paired up for the first time this postseason. Racicot is officiating his 10th Stanley Cup Final (2006, 2008, 2009, 2010, 2011, 2012, 2013, 2015, 2016). This is Devorski’s 4th trip to the Final (2006, 2010, 2018).

Racicot previously worked the entire postseason alongside linesman Trent Knorr. In Round 1, they covered CBJ/TBL Gm1, CBJ/TBL Gm2, NYI/PIT Gm3, WSH/CAR Gm4, and BOS/CBJ Gm6. Round 2 saw them handle COL/SJS Gm1, COl/SJS Gm2, STL/DAL Gm4, and BOS/CBJ Gm6.  They’ve worked two conference finals games: STL/SJS Gm1, BOS/CAR Gm3, and STL/SJS Gm5.  Devorski

Devorski worked with Devin Berg for Rounds 2 and 3, manning the lines for two Conference Finals games – CAR/BOS Gm2 and STL/SJS Gm4 – and four quarterfinal games: DAL/STL Gm2, BOS/CBJ Gm3, COL/SJS Gm5.  Devorski also officiated DAL/STL Gm7 with Jonny Murray. He handled Round 1 with Kiel Murchison (TOR/BOS Gm1, CAR/WSH Gm2, SJS/VGK Gm4, and SJS/VGK Gm5).
