Referee Wes McCauley is at it again. One of the league’s top officials, he’s also one of the best on the mic as he showed after a Coach’s Challenge for offside Tuesday night in Detroit.
The Vancouver Canucks challenged, citing that the Wings’ Martin Frk entered the zone prior to the puck crossing the blue line.

“[McCauley] might be the only guy who can do that stuff,” linesman Steve Barton told SI, “because of all the success he’s had as an official.”
Even Frk, laughing on the bench despite watching his goal wiped off the board, had to appreciate that call.
