NHL referee Mike Leggo will work the final game of his 20-year NHL career on Sunday.

He’ll take the ice one last time as the Arizona Coyotes visit the Los Angeles Kings.  Leggo will take the ice alongside referee Brad Watson and linesmen Tim Nowak and Lonnie Cameron.

Leggo, a native of North Bay, Ontario, made his NHL debut on April 1, 1997.

With this his final season, Leggo has spent time in the AHL, mentoring younger officials. He also traveled to Switzerland to referee the Spengler Cup Tournament.

He finishes his National Hockey League career with 1,213 regular season games and 42 playoff matches.

Check back later this week for an interview with Leggo to talk about his career, his beginnings, and what’s next for the veteran official.

All the best to Leggo in his retirement!
