A defensive zone draw turned dangerous for linesman David Brisebois on Sunday.  The veteran official dropped the puck on a Florida power play late in the first period between the Penguins and Panthers. Players converged on the dot, with Brisebois taking an elbow to the back from Pens winger Patric Hornqvist.

The game continued with two referees – Jon McIsaac and Chris Rooney – with Mark Wheler the lone linesman.

Thankfully, Brisebois did not suffer a serious injury on the play.  He returned to the ice for the start of the second period.
