Referee Marc Joannette can add ‘cameraman’ to his resume. The veteran official of over 1000 NHL games gave us a terrific angle for Sidney Crosby’s tenth goal of the season.
The ref cam offers a great view of the play. You’re close the ice, right in the middle of the action. On this play, you really get an appreciation for the speed and the work involved to get everyone in the right place to make that goal happen — including how tough Crosby battled to get his stick down for that deflection.
