A referee has to keep careful watch at all times of the players on the ice, even when there’s only one skater out there.
In the fourth round of a shootout between the Canucks and Calgary Flames, Vancouver’s Brandon Sutter headed in, scored the game winner, and took out referee Chris Lee.
Sutter gave a friendly stick-tap to Lee on his way to celebrate with his teammates.
Thankfully, it appeared the veteran official was okay on the play.
