Refereeing can be a thankless job. Between the arguments from players and insults from fans, you also spend 60 minutes dodging players and pucks on the ice. For IIHF referee Tobais Wehrli, there was one more puck he wished he’d have been able to dodge.
During a game between Germany and Latvia at the 2015 World Championships, Wehrli took a shot in a very uncomfortable spot.
Germany obviously didn’t score on that play, but they did go on to win the game 2-1.
