The Ontario Hockey League has announced its officiating team for the 2026-27 season.
This year’s crew is made up of 108 officials including 40 referees and 68 linespersons.
New to the Crew
The OHL welcomes 15 new officials to the league, including four referees and 11 linespersons. Coming on board are refs Luc Brzustowski, Aiden Dionne, Colton Peak, and Harry Smith, with linespersons Nick Brunetta, Darcy Carter, Omar Galal, Brent Lace, Tyler McBay, Noah Sabourin, Jacob Swackhamer, Henry Turner, Hunter Hoberg, Kyle Hoberg, and Jaydon Fetter.
Change in Assignment
After working last season on the lines, Brandon Flood, Jordan Hurtubise, Dan Kovachik, and Michael Whaley make the jump to referee for the upcoming season.
Promoted
Referees Nick Isaacson and Hayden Verbeek have been hired by the NHL, as has linesperson Chris Martenet; all three will be working an AHL/NHL schedule this season.
Veteran Presences
Referee Sean Reid enters his 27th OHL season, his 23rd as a referee. Linesperson Dave Pfohl is taking the ice for his 23rd OHL season.
Not Returning
After working in 2025-26, referees Mike Cairns, Jack Hennigan, Ryan Hutchison, Dave Lewis, Alex Ross, Andrew Wilmetts, and Jesse Wilmot are not on the 2026-27 roster.
On the lines, it appears Kyle Bradley, Justin Herrington, Corey Jackson, David-Daniel Pendleton, Griffin St. Onge, and Brandon Shaw will not be back.
Veteran official Ray King retired back in March.
