Refs Francis Charron and Gord Dwyer were paired up starting in Round 2, officiating PHI/CAR Game 2 and ANA/VGK Game 4.
Charron worked the opening round with Jon McIsaac, refereeing BOS/BUF Game 1, OTT/CAR Game 3, PHI/PIT Game 5, and MTL/TBL Game 6. His last Avs game was April 11 vs. VGK (COL L 3-2 OT); he last worked a Wild game on January 19 – a 6-2 win over the Toronto Maple Leafs.
Dwyer skated with Pierre Lambert at MIN/DAL Game 3 (MIN L 4-3 2OT), UTA/VGK Game 3, PHI/PIT Game 6, and BOS/BUF Game 6. His last Colorado assignment came on April 4 vs. the Dallas Stars (COL W 2-0).
We’ve got a a new pairing on the lines. Devin Berg has worked with different partners for the second round – James Tobias (ANA/VGK Game 2) and Ryan Daisy (MTL/BUF Game 3) – after partnering up with Tobias throughout the opening round. Shandor Alphonso worked alongside Ryan Daisy (MTL/BUF Game 2) and Ryan Gibbons (MIN/COL Game 4) for Round 2; he previously worked with Julien Fournier in the opening round.

* Penalty Differential represents the absolute value of the variance of penalty calls by team per game. If Team A takes two more penalties (or two fewer) than Team B, this is a 2. Lower numbers indicate less variance between total penalties in a game – that is, a closer number of calls for both teams.
We’ve also got new rules, new refs, promoted officials, and an updated pronunciation guide for 2025-26.
