San Jose Barracuda forward Ozzy Wiesblatt has been suspended three games for interference after an illegal hit on Rockford IceHogs’ Kale Howarth.
Wiesblatt left the Barracuda bench and headed directly into the Rockford zone, delivering a solid body check to Howarth, who was not in possession of the puck. This is interference. Howarth remained down on the ice before being helped off.
Referees Jackson Kozari and Taylor Burzminski issued a major penalty and game misconduct to Weisblatt for an illegal check to the head.
