The Quebec Major Junior Hockey League has announced their officials for the 2023-24 season.
New to the Q are referees Émile Charron, Yannick Jobin-Manseau, and Michael Hamilton. After 11 seasons as an OHL official, Hamilton has relocated to New Brunswick and moved to the QMJHL officiating ranks. Also joining the league are linesmen Maxime Carré, Antoine Denommé, Samuel Paré, and Pierre-Olivier Schoeb.
Referee Dominic Bédard has hung up his skates after 18 years with the league. Four other officials are set to retire at the end of the upcoming season: referees Jean-Philippe Sylvain and Kevin Maillé, as well as linesmen Yannick Gaudreault and Jean-Philippe Michaud.
Referee Nic Dutil (1181 games, second all-time) will look to hit the 1200-game milestone this season, with linesman Sylvain Losier (958) closing in on 1000 games.
