Montreal Canadiens forward Nick Suzuki did the crime and served the time… now he’s got to pay the fine.
Suzuki has been fined $2,500 for cross-checking Panthers forward Anton Lundell. The illegal stickwork came at 17:09 of the third period during Thursday’s game in Florida.
Suzuki was issued a major penalty and game misconduct by referees Pierre Lambert and Kendrick Nicholson.
Florida led 9-5 at the time of the incident and went on to win by the same score. Officials were referees Pierre Lambert (#37) and Kendrick Nicholson (#30), with linesmen Kilian McNamara (#93) and Jonny Murray (#95).
