Seattle’s Carson Soucy has been fined $2,500 for roughing Winnipeg Jets forward Pierre-Luc Dubois.
The incident came in the final minute of Sunday’s game in Seattle. The Kraken defenseman was battling Dubois in front of the net, delivering a cross-check that knocked down the Jets forward, the two players exchanging slashes, and Soucy following up with a gloved punch from behind to the head of Dubois.
Referee Beau Halkidis immediately issued Soucy a minor penalty for roughing.

The fine itself isn’t too costly, but the penalty was.
Winnipeg took advantage of the ensuing power play, with Blake Wheeler scoring to tie the game with four seconds remaining. The Jets went on to win the game 3-2 in overtime.
Referees were Eric Furlatt (#27) and Beau Halkidis (#48), with linesmen Travis Toomey (#90) and Tommy Hughes (#65).
This is the second fine drawn by Dubois, who already cost Calgary’s Blake Coleman $5000 earlier this week.
