Dallas Stars center Ty Dellandrea has been fined $2,333.33 for interference on New York Rangers goaltender Igor Shesterkin.
The Stars forward caught Shesterkin from behind as he skated through the crease late in the first period of Saturday’s game. Dellandrea was assessed a minor penalty for tripping by referee Peter MacDougall.
Dellandrea’s fine is the maximum allowable under the Collective Bargaining Agreement based on his annual salary of $832,500.
Referees for the game were Peter MacDougall (#38) and Graham Skilliter (#24); linesmen were Scott Cherrey (#50) and Tommy Hughes (#65).
