Player Safety has been busy this preseason.

Arizona Coyotes winger Michael Carcone is the latest to face the disciplinary wrath of NHL Player Safety, picking up a $2,027 fine for roughing Vegas Golden Knights forward Gage Quinney.

Carcone’s infraction came on Tuesday, October 4, when the Coyotes and Golden Knights met in Vegas.

The Yotes forward was given a hooking penalty on the play from referees Steve Kozari and Kyle Rehman.

Carcone’s fine, based on his annual salary, is the maximum permitted under the CBA without a hearing.
