Tampa Bay Lightning forward Ross Colton was driven hard into the boards.  It was clearly boarding.

Florida’s Mason Marchment went to the box.  It clearly wasn’t his fault.

Colton was hit from behind by Panthers defenseman Radko Gudas, who drilled him through the numbers, driving him into the glass.  Marchment came in for a check moments after, but the damage had already been done.  Referees Kelly Sutherland and Francois St. Laurent made the right call, but they got the wrong guy.

Florida killed off the penalty — with Gudas on the ice for 1:56 straight.

Lucky for the Panthers he wasn’t in the box in the first place.
