Linesman Greg Devorski may be in the NHL bubble, but that didn’t stop him from a socially-distanced birthday celebration.
The veteran official hit the big 51 on Sunday. Though he couldn’t be with his family, he did get a quick visit from his wife and his dog.
Life in the #NHLBubble: on his 49th birthday linesman Greg Devorski got got a socially distant visit from his wife Shauna and their dog Nexus. Because Devorski is one of the top linesmen in the game, they’ll probably be apart a lot longer, he may be in the bubble until October. pic.twitter.com/2FdLugS8zi

We’ve heard that Shauna also delivered cake, but were not able to confirm, nor whether the alleged cake may have been shared with the rest of the officials in the Toronto bubble – or with his older brother, retired referee Paul, currently also sequestered in Toronto as an NHL Officiating Manager.
The veteran linesman had the night off on Monday. He was right back to work on Tuesday, manning the lines for Maple Leafs vs. Blue Jackets on Tuesday.
Devorski has worked 1,755 regular season games along with 212 playoff appearances. The Guelph native has worked four Stanley Cup Finals, including last year’s series between the Boston Bruins and the St. Louis Blues.
(Apologies to Gord, but we did confirm; Devo is actually 51 this year, even if he doesn’t want to admit it…)
