AHL linesman Alex Stagnone is recovering after suffering a serious injury Tuesday night.
Stagnone was working the lines for Game 2 of the Calder Cup Playoff series between the Milwaukee Admirals and Iowa Wild.
The linesman found himself tangled up between Iowa’s Colton Beck and one of the Admirals players. He crashed hard into the boards.
“I think I just broke my leg,” Stagnone reportedly told one of the players on the ice.

The game continued with three officials – referees Kenny Anderson and Stephen Reneau, with Nate Stanton the lone linesman.
Stagnone was rushed to the hospital, where he underwent successful surgery. Here’s hoping for a full recovery.
Fingers crossed that linesman Alex Stagnone will be ok, You never want to see anyone taken off on a stretcher. @TheAHL linesmen do a lot of dirty work out there every night. Much respect for the often thankless job they do. Hope you're ok Alex.
