After 14 years in the ECHL, the Alaska Aces are closing up shop.

With their departure – and the end of ECHL games in Anchorage, linesman Scott Sivulich’s professional career has also come to a close.

Sivulich’s professional career spanned 21 years.  The native of Wasilla, Alaska, began officiating at a early age, working minor hockey for the local youth program within USA Hockey.

He relocated to Seattle to continue his officiating career at age 21, hoping to make the leap to the pros.  Sivulich worked numerous leagues chasing that dream, including 12 years in the WHL, later moving on to the ECHL.

Sivulich worked 14 seasons as an ECHL linesman, including the 2006 Conference Finals, 2009 Kelly Cup Finals, and the 2011 ECHL All-Star Game.

All the best to Scott Sivulich in his retirement.
