Philadelphia Flyers defenseman Brandon Manning has been suspended for two games for interference.  Manning’s illegal hit on Pittsburgh’s Jake Guentzel came in the Stadium Series game between the Flyers and Penguins at Heinz Field.

The incident – which Player Safety called a “high, forceful hit … that makes substantial head contact” – occurred at 3:26 of the second period.  No penalty was called on the play.

 

 

Manning forfeits $10,833.34 as a result of his suspension.
