Referee Eric Furlatt is the latest NHL official to join the 1000-game club.

The veteran official will be honored for reaching that milestone tonight in Montreal, where he’ll work a game between the Canadiens and Winnipeg Jets. He’ll take the ice with an all-Quebec crew that includes referee Marc Joannette and linesmen Michel Cormier and Jonny Murray.

Furlatt, 45, made his NHL debut on October 8, 2001, refereeing a game between the Flyers and Blue Jackets alongside Marc Faucette, Mike Cvik, and Steve Miller.  His first playoff game was April 13, 2003 between the Anaheim Duck and Detroit Red Wings.

The native of Trois-Rivières, Quebec, worked his 1000th game earlier this season, but is being honored tonight closer to his hometown.

Congratulations to Furlatt on reaching this milestone!
