Montreal Canadiens forward Brendan Gallagher started Tuesday night’s game like a wrecking ball, taking out Anaheim goalie Jonathan Bernier and linesman Brian Murphy on the same shift.
Gallagher ran into Bernier, resulting in a whistle as the goaltender lay on the ice. Players from both teams came together, with the official getting the worst of it.
Murphy left the ice after taking a high stick to the face, apparently suffering a broken nose.

While Murphy was evaluated, the game was officiated by referees Kendrick Nicholson and Kevin Pollock, with Tony Sericolo the lone linesman.
Murphy was able to return to the game later in the period.
The veteran official, from Dover, New Hampshire, has worked over 1800 games, officiating as both a referee and a linesman during his 28-year NHL career.
