Referee Kyle Rehman never even saw him coming.

Early in overtime between the Boston Bruins and Montreal Canadiens, the puck was sent down toward the Bruins’ end of the ice.  Rehman led the charge, skating backwards to watch the rush.  As the Habs’ Torrey Mitchell approached the puck along the boards, a new opponent appeared!

Bruins goaltender Tuukka Rask, miles from his crease, came out to break up the play.  He also broke Rehman’s stride, sending him sprawling to the ice.

Mitchell returned the favor, colliding with the Boston netminder.

Both Rehman and Rask made it out unscathed.
