The NA3AHL is looking for a few good officials in the New York, New Jersey, or Pennsylvania area.
The North American 3 Atlantic Hockey League (NA3AHL), formerly known as the Metropolitan Junior Hockey League, is an Tier III Junior ice hockey league with 8 teams throughout the eastern United States. The MJHL was part of the Atlantic Metropolitan Hockey League organization.
The NA3AHL officiating staff is part of USA Hockey Officiating Development Program (ODP) and officials are assigned games across the spectrum of junior hockey (USHL, NAHL, NA3AHL) and the Southern Professional League. The multi-tiered structure provides officials the opportunity to develop their skills, advance at each level and reach their fullest potential.
We are currently identifying candidates in the east that are interested in a career with USA Hockey Officiating Development Program and the opportunity to advance their careers in officiating. Upon completing the Officiating Development Program, officials often move on to work ECHL, AHL, top level international tournaments (IIHF) and the National Hockey League.
An important note is that over the last 18 years, every American born official that has been hired by the NHL has been a graduate of the ODP!!
Were looking for candidates who MUST be USA Hockey registered officials who are NO younger than 18 and not much older than 25 years of age. We are looking for excellent skaters and athletes who are willing to learn and have a desire to improve. While an extensive amount of officiating experience is not a requirement for the ODP, our officials have mastered the fundamental skills of officiating and are ready to accept challenges at higher level games.
