From the NHL:
Pittsburgh Penguins defenseman Kris Letang has been suspended for one game for interference against Washington Capitals forward Marcus Johansson during Game 3 of the teams’ Second Round series in Pittsburgh on Monday, May 2, the National Hockey League’s Department of Player Safety announced.
The incident occurred at 15:41 of the first period. Letang was assessed a minor penalty for interference by referees Francis Charron and Wes McCauley.
Johansson did not return to the game. His status is uncertain for Game 4.
The Penguins may also be without blueliner Olli Maatta for Wednesday’s game. The defenseman missed Game 3 after suffering an injury on a hit from Brooks Orpik that saw the Caps’ d-man suspended for three games.
